Job Summary

The Los Angeles Urban League is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our youth development program, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing educational programs that impact students' academic achievement, career planning, college readiness, and personal/social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate educational programs that meet the needs of students, including academic achievement, career planning, college readiness, and personal/social development.
  • Case Management: Effectively manage case records by assisting program participants with completing applications, forms, collecting case documents, conducting program assessments, evaluations, and other documents related to the participant case file.
  • Student Support: Monitor student academic progress, provide support and guidance as needed, and offer excellent customer service to program participants, prospective participants, and the community.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Build partnerships with school systems, university systems, and community-based organizations to better understand and meet the needs of students.
  • Program Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluate program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and prepare reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Experience: Four years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Excel, strong planning, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Other Requirements: Valid California Driver's License, driving record acceptable to insurance carrier, and access to reliable transportation.
