POSITION SUMMARY The Program Coordinator will play a vital role in managing and executing specific grant objectives, ensuring that all activities align with established goals, deadlines, and reporting obligations. This position involves coordinating services and resources for program participants, overseeing grant deliverables, and facilitating comprehensive support for students and their families. Please note that this role is intended for local candidates, as it requires onsite presence in our Los Angeles office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and assess programs that enhance academic success, career exploration, college preparedness, and personal development for all students.
  • Maintain accurate case records by assisting participants with necessary documentation, conducting assessments, and ensuring timely updates in the CRM system while upholding high standards of quality and integrity.
  • Develop and manage individual case files for each youth enrolled, providing guidance and support in accordance with established program protocols.
  • Monitor and support students' academic progress, offering assistance and resources as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to program participants and the broader community, addressing inquiries and providing technical support effectively.
  • Evaluate students' educational backgrounds prior to program entry.
  • Implement the Project Ready curriculum and coordinate related activities, including college fairs, application processes, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Establish partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to better address student needs and foster collaboration.
  • Engage in program recruitment efforts and prepare outreach materials to promote participation.
  • Support funding initiatives and serve as a chaperone for youth summits and community service projects, preparing students for competitions and collaborative activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Human Services, or a related field; four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data filtering, and basic functions.
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect in all interactions, collaborating effectively with team members to achieve common objectives.
  • Communicate clearly and supportively with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, managing time effectively to meet established goals.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for report preparation and presentation, including public speaking.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 to 40 pounds.
  • Valid California Driver's License and an acceptable driving record, with reliable transportation for travel throughout the area.
