Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Job Description

The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate distribution of materials within the facility. This position is responsible for stocking, inventory management, and handling of all manufacturing materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately handle transactions and physical movement of material in and out of the stockroom
  • Responsible for accurate inventory level management
  • Responsible for maintaining cycle counts and a clean warehouse
  • Accurately kit all work orders
  • Assist in all WIP movement and transactions
  • May assist with shipping/receiving/packaging as needed
  • May drive company truck and/or forklift
  • May perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Inventory tracking of incoming or outgoing parts
  • Data entry of parts information into MRP or ERP system
  • Cycle Counts
  • Computer Skills (SAP a plus)
  • Picking and packaging

Work Environment:

The Inventory Specialist will work in a well-lit, clean, and ventilated/AC'd room. The warehouse is air-conditioned, and the ability to exert up to 45 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required. Physical demands include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend intermittently during work hours. Subject to frequent interruptions, noise levels, inside and outside environmental conditions, hazards such as electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris. Required to wear personal protective equipment.
