Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at PPS-HPS in Austin, TX.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory programs, including inventory estimates and analyses, maintenance of metrics tracked, reporting to management, and resolution of inventory issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively increase turns by customer product and meet corporate goals
  • Provide recommendations for purchasing strategies, inventory disposition, and inventory management
  • Manage the cycle count program, reconciliation, metrics, and outside audits
  • Control and disposition follow up for affected material
  • Final review and reconciliation of work order variance and closure
  • Coordinate product transfers to other company manufacturing sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • APICS certification preferred
  • 3+ years inventory analyst experience, cost accounting experience strongly preferred, and manufacturing experience as scheduler or planner a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time
  • Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and lift over 25 lbs with assistance

  • Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required

Environmental Exposure:

  • Subject to frequent interruptions
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer, etc.
