Job Title: Facility and Inventory Specialist

This role provides logistical operations support and technical assistance to the Texas Education Agency. The specialist coordinates and performs various agency support functions, including mail processing, property, asset, and staff relocation, receiving, inventory and storage support, and coordination of building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform mail processing, property, asset, and staff relocation, receiving, inventory and storage support, and coordination of building maintenance.
  • Disseminate information, maintain files and inventory systems, develop operational reports, and provide general support work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and may train others.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in logistical operations support activities, move management, and related duties.
  • Ability to work hours other than 8 to 5, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting supplies and materials and lifting boxes, furniture, modular furniture components, and other office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Smartsheet, the Asset Management, Inventory and/or Purchasing modules in the Centralize Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS), and TxFS.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data and prepare accurate reports.
  • Skilled in adapting to and executing unexpected tasks, taking direction, managing multiple projects at once, and meeting deadlines.
