Role Summary

The CEO will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of AIM Institute. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic leadership style and will work closely with both staff and board members to advance the organization’s objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a collaborative and effective relationship with the Board of Directors.
  • Overseeing staff management and financial operations.
  • Articulating a shared vision for the future of the organization.
  • Building strong partnerships within the tech community and educational institutions.
  • Acting as the primary representative of AIM Institute to enhance public awareness.
  • Engaging with the philanthropic community to secure funding.
  • Promoting professional development and diversity within the staff.
  • Providing regular financial performance updates to the Board.
Qualifications and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a background in nonprofit management, and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges within the tech sector.

Nonprofit Leadership Experience
  • A minimum of five years in executive leadership roles within nonprofit organizations.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Experience in fundraising and managing compliance with government grants.
  • Background in program development and assessment.
  • Prior experience working with a Board of Directors.
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
  • Proven ability to enhance internal communication and cultivate a positive organizational culture.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with a focus on team leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Collaborative leadership style to foster partnerships across sectors.
  • Experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
Tech Sector Knowledge

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000, complemented by a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance and a generous Paid Time Off policy.
