Key Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing project accounting and implementing accrual revenue recognition to guarantee precise financial reporting and oversight.
  • Managing reconciliations, asset schedules, and monthly financial closures.
  • Ensuring optimal cash flow through effective management of Accounts Receivable.
  • Creating comprehensive budgets that align with strategic goals.
  • Guaranteeing the accuracy of year-end financial statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, adhering to GAAP standards.
  • Simplifying payment processes to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Developing, refining, and documenting finance department processes while continuously assessing and improving financial controls.
  • Collaborating with leadership to align financial strategies with industry trends and organizational objectives, serving as the primary resource for all financial inquiries and reporting.
  • Identifying trends and insights through thorough data analysis.
  • Providing financial expertise during lease negotiations.
  • Securing capital for projects and acquisitions, leading financial due diligence.
  • Working collaboratively to optimize recurring revenue streams.
  • Assisting in the design of effective incentive programs through detailed analysis.
  • Leading the procurement department to optimize purchasing and manage expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Building and managing the finance team, working with HR to fill key positions.
  • Championing a comprehensive understanding of our ERP system.
  • Establishing and maintaining banking and network relationships.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in finance or accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
  • Experience with project-based accounting.
  • Experience in a growing business environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Experience in a multi-state company.
  • Leadership experience in acquisitions.
  • MBA or Master's in Finance.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in capital raising.

Desired:

  • Experience with specific ERP systems.
  • Experience analyzing incentive plans.
  • Familiarity with EOS.
  • Financial Risk Manager Certification.
