Job Summary

ALFF CONSTRUCTION LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Vice President of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our organization, ensuring high levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and executive team to develop long-term operational strategies aligned with the company's goals.
    • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovation, and lead initiatives to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and cost management.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, and implement and execute on building a world-class operations team for assigned region.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and monitoring financial performance to achieve financial targets.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements, and develop strategies to enhance client retention and attract new business.
  • Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing and resolving client concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance, and regularly review and analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present operational reports to the executive leadership team.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee major projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget, and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.
  • Innovation and Technology:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, and implement new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of innovation within the operations team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in operational management, preferably in facility management or related industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and software relevant to facility management operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
