Role SummaryReporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of AIM Institute, ensuring the effective execution of its mission. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader, capable of fostering collaboration among staff and board members while driving the organization forward. Key responsibilities include:
- Fostering a strong and effective partnership with the AIM Institute Board of Directors.
- Managing the organization’s staff and financial resources.
- Articulating and promoting a shared vision for the future of AIM Institute.
- Building robust relationships within the tech community and educational institutions.
- Serving as the organization's ambassador, enhancing public awareness of AIM Institute's mission.
- Engaging with the philanthropic community to secure funding and support.
- Encouraging the professional development and diversity of AIM Institute staff.
- Monitoring and reporting on the financial health of the organization to the board.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a background in nonprofit management and a deep understanding of the challenges facing the tech sector.
Leadership Experience- A minimum of five years in executive leadership within a nonprofit organization, with proven supervisory skills.
- Expertise in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Experience in fundraising and managing compliance with government grants.
- Proficiency in program development and evaluation.
- Previous experience working with or reporting to a board of directors.
- Proven ability to enhance internal communication and foster a positive organizational culture.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative leadership style that promotes partnerships across sectors.
- Experience in implementing effective Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
- Experience within the tech community or a strong understanding of the tech workforce.
- A passion for making technology accessible to future generations.
- An entrepreneurial mindset focused on innovation and growth.
The compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $190,000, accompanied by a competitive benefits package, including health insurance and a generous Paid Time Off policy.
