POSITION: Insurance Sales Agent

REPORTS TO: Chief Operations Officer

SUMMARY: As an Insurance Sales Agent at First State, your primary objective is to expand the agency's clientele by promoting insurance solutions to prospective clients and informing current customers about additional offerings that cater to their requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Develop a lucrative portfolio by identifying and securing qualified prospects.
  • Meet or exceed yearly sales objectives.
  • Establish and nurture connections with key industry stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous training and sales sessions to improve skills and product knowledge.
  • Work in tandem with the account management team for new business opportunities, renewals, and claims processing.
  • Create avenues for cross-selling and referrals.
  • Foster strong partnerships with insurance providers.
  • Offer clients expert guidance and risk management strategies.
  • Keep precise customer records and complete required documentation.
  • Assist new agency personnel as necessary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in the insurance sector.
  • Licensing: Valid Nebraska Property and Casualty insurance license is mandatory.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and strong analytical skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standard physical activities such as walking, standing, and lifting items up to 30 pounds.

WORK SETTING: Primarily office-based with occasional travel as needed.
