Position Overview

: The Inside Sales Representative at The Kendall Group plays a crucial role in driving sales and fostering customer relationships. Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, this position requires a proactive and articulate individual with a strong grasp of our offerings. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and possess a keen ability to understand customer needs, ensuring a seamless sales experience. Key Responsibilities: The Inside Sales Representative will undertake various essential tasks, including but not limited to: Upholding a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards clients Promptly addressing customer inquiries Engaging with customers and vendors through multiple communication channels Recognizing and resolving customer issues Participating in sales and product training initiatives Processing orders and quotes within the business system Assisting customers with vendor portal navigation Documenting customer interactions, transactions, feedback, and complaints Coordinating with colleagues, customers, and vendors as needed Articulating product features and benefits effectively Recommending suitable products to customers Conducting outbound calls to follow up on quotes and leads Identifying sales opportunities based on customer needs Maintaining a database of existing and potential clients Providing product submittal sheets for customer approval and tracking their status Closing sales and meeting established sales targets Executing additional duties and projects as assigned Required Competencies: Commitment to Service Excellence Results-Driven and Action-Oriented Accountability and Responsibility Active Listening and Understanding Others Problem-Solving Skills Team Collaboration Effective Priority Management Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in customer service, sales, or distribution Education: High School diploma or GED Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems Organizational Skills: Strong work ethic; excellent verbal and written communication Cross-Functional Skills: Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple requests in a dynamic environment Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with all organizational levels; provide exceptional internal and external customer service; adept at handling escalated requests; negotiation skills Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to see, speak, and hear; capability to sit for extended periods Work Environment: Standard office setting Travel: Occasional travel for training or business-related functions Preferred Qualifications: Experience: 2 years in electrical sales and customer service; experience with Eclipse ERP Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree
