Position Overview: The Director of Research and Analytics will play a pivotal role in steering strategic research endeavors and achieving superior analytics results. This position encompasses the formulation and execution of research strategies, project management, and the timely dissemination of research insights. The Director will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, foster innovation, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Formulate and implement detailed research strategies that align with the organization's objectives.

· Establish research methodologies, data collection techniques, and analytical frameworks to guarantee insightful and substantial outcomes.

· Leverage market intelligence, secondary data, and analytics to generate data-driven reports.

· Ensure data integrity by managing all web and mobile analytics data sources and tag management, with a focus on continuous optimization and auditing.

· Gather, cleanse, and manipulate data to produce marketing and growth reports for clients.

· Conduct A/B testing and personalization initiatives, promoting a culture of rigorous statistical analysis.

· Guide the team on customer journey analysis, heat mapping, session recording, and best practices in user research.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint essential research areas and prioritize projects accordingly.

· Oversee research projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

· Monitor project developments, identify potential challenges, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and sustain project momentum.

· Supervise the creation of high-quality research reports, whitepapers, and presentations that effectively convey findings and insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

· Ensure that research outputs adhere to industry standards, are data-driven, and provide actionable recommendations.

· Work alongside internal teams such as product development, marketing, and sales to integrate research insights into strategic decision-making processes.

· Present research findings to executive leadership, offering strategic recommendations and insights for business growth and development.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform research strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

· Analyze market dynamics and competitor activities to uncover potential opportunities and threats.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in data science and analytics within a high-growth company or e-commerce sector.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Social Sciences, Data Science, etc.) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in research management and leadership, ideally within a related industry.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of producing high-quality research outputs.
  • Proficient in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Slack).
  • Significant experience utilizing data warehouses or Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) to consolidate customer profiles across owned digital channels.
  • Well-versed in advanced statistical analysis techniques and proficient in leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative research environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.

Salary Range: $130K - $160K per year base salary, contingent on educational qualifications and work experience.
