Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery to join our esteemed faculty at the University of Southern California. This tenure-track position offers an exceptional opportunity for a researcher with a strong background in auditory and/or vestibular research to contribute to our vibrant clinical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-impact, federally-funded independent research in auditory and/or vestibular research, with a focus on hair cell and auditory/vestibular nerve physiology, inner ear development and regeneration, otoacoustic emissions, mathematical modeling, cochlear implant and auditory brainstem implant outcomes, and hearing aid/cochlear implant sound processing strategies.
  • Mentor junior faculty members and educate trainees in the field of otolaryngology head and neck surgery.
  • Collaborate with other research PIs, clinicians, and graduate students to advance the field of auditory and vestibular research.
Requirements
  • PhD or MD degree in a relevant field.
  • Substantial track record of successful research, publication, and funding history.
  • Ability to conduct high-impact, federally-funded independent research.
  • Strong teaching and mentorship skills.
