Immunology Sales Specialist

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record as a leading performer, utilizing exceptional clinical sales abilities while adeptly managing their assigned territory in compliance with all regulations and company protocols. This results-driven sales professional will act as a business partner and consultant, crafting targeted account strategies and comprehensive business plans that reflect a thorough understanding of local, regional, and national market dynamics affecting product sales. The individual will skillfully navigate the complexities associated with our products and their adjunctive therapies, showcasing a deep comprehension of the clinical data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve or surpass all designated territory sales objectives and budgetary goals by formulating and executing territory-specific strategies.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals' offerings and pertinent disease states.
  • Effectively create a Territory Business Plan, organize daily and weekly activities, establish call schedules, and prepare thoroughly for all sales interactions to meet or exceed targets.
  • Design and implement specialized programs within the territory to optimize sales potential, such as speaker programs and educational events.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive customer records.
  • Complete assigned administrative duties in a timely, precise, and organized manner.
  • Deliver an engaging and accurate sales presentation to clients.
  • Exhibit a professional sales demeanor in all business interactions.
  • Fulfill responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and pharmaceutical guidelines, operating within established corporate policies and standards.
  • Participate in regional and national conferences throughout the year.

  • Communication & Collaboration - Communicates clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, adapting style as necessary; capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with both internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following fields:
    • Ophthalmology
    • Nephrology
    • Rheumatology
    • Pulmonology
    • Neurology
  • Alternatively, an Associate's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of proven success in the pharmaceutical industry within the specified therapeutic areas may be considered. Current experience within the territory and familiarity with customer profiles is highly desirable.
  • Experience in selling biologics to specialty physicians in rare disease sectors is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred work location: Greater Columbus area

Local travel is expected; some overnight travel may be necessary, depending on the region.
