Position Summary

The Head of Marketing Operations will be responsible for the strategic oversight, project management, and enhancement of marketing processes, technologies, and data analytics. This role is pivotal in ensuring the marketing team functions at optimal efficiency, driving growth and maximizing return on investment (ROI). The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in marketing operations, data analysis, and technology, along with a proven history of managing extensive marketing initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Execution:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing operations strategy that aligns with the overarching marketing objectives of the organization.
  • Direct the planning and execution of large-scale marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization.
Project Planning and Management:
  • Create and implement a detailed project plan that outlines key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and plans as necessary.
  • Identify and address potential risks and issues that may affect project success.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary liaison for enterprise-level projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular updates and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Incorporate feedback from various departments to refine project objectives at each milestone.
Team Coordination and Leadership:
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team, including marketing, communications, and external partners.
  • Encourage a collaborative and motivated team environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Ensure alignment of all team members with project goals and deliverables.
Process Optimization:
  • Enhance and streamline marketing processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Implement best practices for campaign management, lead generation, and customer engagement.
  • Continuously assess and improve marketing workflows to ensure optimal performance.
Technology Management:
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of marketing technology platforms.
  • Ensure effective integration and utilization of the marketing technology stack to support marketing objectives.
  • Stay informed about emerging marketing technologies and trends, making recommendations for new tools and systems as necessary.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing analytics framework to evaluate campaign performance, customer behavior, and marketing ROI.
  • Provide regular insights and reports to the executive team, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to guide marketing strategies and decision-making processes.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing marketing operations team.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, IT, Finance, and Product, to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective lead management and conversion processes.
  • Partner with the product team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Implement and enforce data privacy and security practices to safeguard customer information and maintain compliance with legal requirements.
QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills:
  • Strong strategic planning and project management capabilities.
