About You:

  • 5-7+ years in a leadership role growing a Marketing team in the SMB space within a fast-paced, high-tech company (including hiring and developing a team)
  • You know precisely how to operate in a startup because you've lived it and can navigate ambiguity and change with ease.
  • You have the ability to be strategic and focus on the big picture and also to jump into the tactical work where needed to achieve results.
  • You must have a strong track record of hitting targets and working with sales to hit and beat company goals. If you did not have ownership of a number like MQL or SQO then this isn't for you.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing operations and demand generation tools.
  • You have a proven track record with Direct Response Marketing and have studied the best practices and implemented them with success.
  • You deeply understand the value and limitations of the primary B2B marketing channels.
  • You are highly skilled and have hands-on experience scaling the major digital channels (especially Meta).
  • You know the tried and true methods, and love exploring experimental and innovative ways to reach target market
  • You have proven experience building and growing and driving revenue from email marketing.
  • You have enough experience in Product Marketing and Positioning to get by.

What you'll be taking on:

You will own marketing for Breakthrough to generate high-quality sales opportunities to hit our goals of helping people in pain get back to normal naturally.

  • Own Strategic Planning, Team Alignment and Execution: You'll collaborate with our leadership team to set quarterly goals and priorities that drive the company's purpose of helping people in pain get back to normal naturally. You'll build, develop, and work with a rockstar team to build out our marketing plan to hit targets.
  • Building and Execute Our Demand Gen Strategy: You'll build and maintain the demand / lead gen channels to ensure there is a steady, reliable, and well-qualified flow of MQLs getting to our sales team every day. We expect to increase volume by 30%+ this year and 100%+ next year as we move into new markets, all while maintaining healthy CAC and ROAS numbers.
  • Lead Marketing Operations: You will lead our marketing operations manager to develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to make marketing run like a well oiled machine. This means developing systems for the department with leading and lagging metrics to measure them, as well as assigning people to be accountable for them.
  • Developing the Breakthrough Brand: You'll be responsible for increasing awareness of Breakthrough and its products as "the leader in business growth for physical therapy". You'll own our events to make them the best in the market. You'll build strong media and partner relationships to effectively position the company.
