In this pivotal role within the Employee Benefits team, you will be instrumental in driving growth and expansion.
This position entails developing and overseeing a designated geographic area. The individual in this role will be tasked with fostering significant business relationships with brokers and other influential entities to enhance the distribution of our Employee Benefit products and services.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage and drive sales activities within the specified regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and nurturing Key Broker Relationships
- Enhancing the American United Life brand – ensuring a strong, visible presence in the assigned territory
- Creating a robust sales pipeline
- Closing Employee Benefit business deals
- Identifying new opportunities and guiding them from prospect to closure
- Meeting activity and revenue targets as assigned
- Assisting the Regional Vice President in formulating and executing the marketing strategy
- Conducting sales and product seminars as required
- Managing the assigned territory to meet sales objectives
- Utilizing market data effectively to boost market presence and sales performance
- Formulating a plan to achieve case activity targets aligned with our core strategy
Qualifications:
- Established relationships with brokers and experience in LTD, STD, and Group Life
- Proven track record of production within the assigned territory
- Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients
- Ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships with a collaborative approach
- Advanced capability to devise strategies and business plans, successfully achieving set objectives
- Outstanding presentation and consultative selling abilities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with targeted prospects
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Life and Health license required
- A minimum of five years of experience in Employee Benefit Sales
This position is designed for remote work, with expectations for occasional office presence as business needs arise.
