Key Responsibilities of the Lead Pastry Chef:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Accurately follow and adjust recipes as necessary.
- Expertly season and prepare breads and pastries.
- Adhere to established processes and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams, including stewarding and banquets.
- Complete all requisition forms accurately.
- Follow all guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.
- Ensure proper rotation of products in storage areas.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment to the highest standards.
- Comply with state sanitation and health regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a baking environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills for recipe adjustments.
- Culinary degree and relevant certifications in food handling and sanitation.
