Executive Chef Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the culinary team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct daily inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food storage areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food presentation standards to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage to establish budget goals, monitor financial performance, and develop effective cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in food quality, presentation, and service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management to optimize profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef Assistant or similar role in a high-volume food service environment.
- Proven track record of success in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Physical stamina to work in a kitchen environment, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
