We are in search of a project management professional who possesses a client-centric approach and strong technical leadership skills to help us meet the diverse needs of our clients across Northern California and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a robust background in construction materials testing, special inspection, construction management, and related engineering services.

This position's primary responsibility is to ensure that Kleinfelder consistently exceeds client expectations through regular communication and by leading our service delivery team, planning and executing technical tasks, and managing project budgets effectively to expand our client base.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead project and service delivery teams.

Engage with clients, staff, and supervisors to consistently and profitably deliver construction services.

Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and technical proposals.

Lead pursuit teams and draft Statements of Qualifications.

Maintain and grow a client base.


Coordinate efforts to ensure projects/contracts are managed effectively, meeting both budgetary and scheduling requirements while ensuring that deliverables align with client expectations and Kleinfelder's standards.

Provide technical guidance and leadership to staff.

Consideration for this position requires the following minimum qualifications:

Project Manager III

10 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, or other related engineering services.


At least 5 years of project management experience, including direct client interaction, along with the ability to plan, organize, execute, and oversee projects of varying sizes.

3 years of supervisory/management experience required.


Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining composure and effectiveness in a high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug screening.


Proficiency in using a company-provided laptop or tablet and familiarity with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a high level of personal integrity are expected.

Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Senior Project Manager

15 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, or other related engineering services.


At least 7 years of project management experience, including direct client interaction, along with the ability to plan, organize, execute, and oversee projects of varying sizes.

5 years of supervisory/management experience required.


Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining composure and effectiveness in a high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug screening.


Proficiency in using a company-provided laptop or tablet and familiarity with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a high level of personal integrity are expected.

Authorization to work in the United States is required.

In addition to the above qualifications, preference will be given to candidates with:

A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

A Professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of California.


Relevant construction inspection and testing experience and certifications from recognized organizations such as the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), the American Welding Society (AWS), and/or local inspection credentials.

Project Management Professional certification.

The expected salary range for this position is provided in accordance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience (as outlined above).

Salary Ranges:
Project Manager

III :
$98,861 - $164,725 annually

Senior Project Manager :
$125,024 - $208,303 annually
