Job Title: Senior Project Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Provide overall on-site management of construction projects, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising employee and subcontractor activities.
  • Construction Oversight: Supervise the total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Site Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day direction.
  • Documentation: Draft and generate all project purchase requisitions, field design change requests, and other necessary documents.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, and other technical support as required.
  • Process Implementation: Assist project management in implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, and other necessary processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all onsite personnel, including subcontractors, comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, and other necessary protocols.
  • Productivity: Assume responsibility for the productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Problem Resolution: Assist in resolving construction problems, including lack of productivity, work interfaces, and other issues as required.
  • Liaison: Maintain liaison with other departments, including Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering, to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, and other necessary support are provided.
  • Design-Build Coordination: Design-Build coordination and review.
  • Schedule Ownership: Ownership, updating, and distribution of project schedule.
  • Submittals: Submittals-Review for conformance, track, and take ownership of all project submittals.
  • RFI's: RFI's-generate, distribute, track, and distribute requests for information.
  • Bidding Support: Help during bidding projects and issuing subcontracts.
  • Post-Project Review: Post-job review and close out.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to support staff.
Requirements:
  • Education: Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years construction management supervision experience in commercial or multi-family construction.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, contract agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills essential.
  • Advanced Skills: Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups essential.

Physical Demands:
  • Lifting: On occasion, may be required to lift, manipulate, and carry items of up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Walking: Will regularly be required to walk over uneven or unpaved ground to reach a work site in construction zones.
  • Construction Tasks: May be required to perform a variety of construction tasks in all areas and aspects of the construction project, including scaffold or platform work, confined spaces, and exposure to outside elements.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Work Schedules: May be required to work schedules which may include shift work, such as day shift, swing-shift, graveyard, holiday, and/or weekend shifts.
  • Physical Activity: Regularly required to: sit, stand, stoop, reach overhead, walk, bend.
  • Hand Use: Regularly required to repetitively use hands to: push, pull, use fingers, bend, and twist wrists.
  • Vision: Must have the ability to see small details and at objects at a distance.
Salary Range:

$125,000 to $147,000 (plus additional monetary benefits)
