Position Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: Rancho Cucamonga

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager oversees and manages all phases of commercial, medical, and hospitality construction projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
    • Establish project timelines and milestones.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to finalize project plans.
  2. Budget Management:

    • Prepare and manage project budgets.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Approve and process invoices, change orders, and budget adjustments.
  3. Resource Management:

    • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
    • Ensure the availability of materials and equipment.
    • Assign tasks to project team members and monitor their performance.
  4. Quality Control:

    • Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
  5. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Handle any unexpected issues or emergencies that arise during the project.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  6. Communication and Coordination:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress.
    • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and correspondence.
    • Ensure all project records are up-to-date and accessible.
    • Prepare and submit regular project status reports.
  8. Project Closeout:

    • Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections and punch lists.
    • Ensure all project deliverables are completed and handed over to the client.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within commercial, medical, and hospitality construction.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and inspect construction sites as needed.

Work Environment:

  • This role may involve working in an office environment and on construction sites.
  • May require extended hours to meet project deadlines.
