Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our talented team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about software development and eager to contribute to a world-class engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Building, nurturing, and leading a high-performance engineering team.
  • Providing day-to-day guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Establishing engineering processes aligned with NextLabs' global methodologies and ensuring adherence.
  • Collaborating with product management and global engineering teams to define, design, and develop innovative products.
  • Delivering exceptional architecture, solutions, and code.
  • Coordinating with technical teams across regions to ensure compatibility and integration of solutions.
  • Championing best practices in software engineering, architecture, security, testing, and API development.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BE/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of robust software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in security concepts and the development of IAM or data security products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and proven success in leading teams to deliver products.
  • Expertise in microservices, web services, Java connectors, and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud applications and full-stack technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.
  • Strong skills in object-oriented design, coding, and debugging.
  • A solid background in design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with SQL databases and application interfacing.
  • Agile development experience with tools such as BitBucket, Jira, and Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking abilities.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
  • A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for teamwork.
