About the Role:
ABBTECH Professional Resources is seeking an IT Service Management Engineer to support critical cybersecurity initiatives. This position is integral to the Security Engineering and Operations (SE&O) team, which oversees the infrastructure and security tools essential for effective cybersecurity operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Service Management processes to ensure prompt incident response and collaborate with engineering teams for service restoration of vital cybersecurity services.
2. Independently manage requests for approved services, maintaining thorough tracking of request data, ensuring client satisfaction, and monitoring request status until resolution.
3. Generate incident tickets upon receiving reports of service disruptions, perform initial assessments, and take necessary actions to restore services where feasible.
4. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient resolution of all tickets.
5. Work alongside the Information Systems Security Officer to enhance processes and improve the speed of incident response and request fulfillment, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4 to 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- A keen interest in cybersecurity and the engineering of tools to bolster cybersecurity operations.
- Fundamental understanding of networking, virtualization, and server/desktop maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data from various sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and convey the status of requests and incident responses effectively.
- Must be a US citizen with a current active DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows systems, particularly in server operations and maintenance.
- Background in helpdesk support.
- Familiarity with Security Operations Center functions as an analyst or engineer.
- Knowledge of Next Generation Firewall features and automation tools such as Netbrain, Ansible, XSOAR, Fortimanager, and Panorama.
- Experience managing SSL and IPSEC VPN clients and site-to-site VPNs.
- ZTNA experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Fortinet and Palo Alto products.
