About the Role:
ABBTECH Professional Resources is seeking an IT Service Management Engineer to join our team focused on cybersecurity initiatives. This position is integral to the Security Engineering and Operations (SE&O) team, which is tasked with maintaining the infrastructure and security tools essential for our cybersecurity operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Service Management processes to ensure prompt incident response and coordinate with engineering teams for service restoration.
  • Independently manage requests for approved services, ensuring customer satisfaction and tracking the status of requests until resolution.
  • Create and manage incident tickets for service disruptions, conduct triage, and initiate actions to restore services as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of all tickets.
  • Work alongside the Information Systems Security Officer to enhance incident response processes and validate compliance with security guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 4 – 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 – 6 years of experience.
  • A strong desire to learn about cybersecurity and the engineering of tools to support operations.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, virtualization, and server/desktop maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and convey the status of requests and incident responses clearly.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows systems, including server operations.
  • Background in helpdesk support.
  • Experience in a Security Operations Center as an analyst or engineer.
  • Familiarity with Next Generation Firewall features and automation tools.
  • Experience managing SSL and IPSEC VPN clients.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet and Palo Alto products.
