Position Overview

Leidos is looking for a Cybersecurity Service Management Specialist to join our team on the NOAA Cyber Security Center contract. This role is integral to the Security Engineering and Operations (SE&O) team, which is responsible for the infrastructure and security tools utilized by the NOAA Cyber Security Center, as well as providing support for multiple Trusted Internet Connection Access Provider (TICAP) sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of Service Management processes and protocols to ensure prompt incident response and collaboration with engineering teams for the restoration of critical cybersecurity services.
  • Independently manage requests for authorized services, maintaining comprehensive tracking of request data, ensuring client satisfaction, and overseeing request status until completion.
  • Generate incident tickets upon receiving reports of service interruptions, perform initial assessments, and take necessary actions to restore services where feasible.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to guarantee swift resolution of all incident tickets.
  • Work alongside engineering teams and the Information Systems Security Officer to enhance processes and improve the speed of incident response and request fulfillment, while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, technology, or engineering.
  • A strong interest in cybersecurity and the engineering of tools that support cybersecurity operations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking, virtualization, and server and desktop maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data from diverse sources effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and convey the status of requests and incident responses clearly.
Additional Requirements
  • Candidate must be a US citizen with a current active DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows systems, including server operations and maintenance.
  • Background in helpdesk support.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center as an analyst or engineer.
  • Familiarity with the implementation and maintenance of Next Generation Firewall features (such as application-aware filtering, DNS, IPS, web filtering, and SSL inspection).
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Netbrain, Ansible, XSOAR, Fortimanager, and Panorama.
  • Experience managing SSL and IPSEC VPN clients, as well as site-to-site VPNs.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) is preferred.
  • Experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto products.
Compensation Information

The pay range for this position is between $65,000 and $117,500. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Various factors are considered when extending an offer, including job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
