Job Overview:
The Contingent Patient Services Representative is essential in delivering outstanding patient support within an outpatient clinic environment. This role encompasses both reception and administrative responsibilities, ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote a positive healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties Include:
- Manage daily clinic functions and administrative tasks such as answering inquiries, scheduling patient appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients, verifying their information, and gathering necessary details.
- Oversee billing processes, including payment collection and financial assistance for patients.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, promptly communicating any changes or delays to patients.
- Comply with all quality and safety standards while working independently or collaboratively.
- Travel to various clinic locations as required and undertake additional assigned responsibilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Medical Billing or within a Physician Office setting.
- Prior experience in customer service, with a solid understanding of healthcare systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with familiarity with medical terminology.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks, perform under pressure, and uphold professionalism.
- Understanding of medical insurance, billing processes, and office protocols.
- Dedication to patient-centered and efficient healthcare delivery.
- Adherence to Health and Safety regulations, including mandatory annual TB testing.
- Standard 40-hour work week, with scheduling based on departmental requirements.
- Occasional overtime may be necessary.
