Position SummaryWe are seeking a Vice President of Business Development who will play a pivotal role in strategically and tactically expanding iCapital's licensed technology business within both wealth management and asset management sectors, with a primary emphasis on Architect, our unique portfolio construction software. The ideal candidate will possess a remarkable ability to prioritize opportunities across diverse client types and collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve optimal results for our clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for iCapital Architect, a groundbreaking portfolio construction tool designed to assist financial advisors and asset managers in building and analyzing portfolios that incorporate alternative assets.
- Oversee the complete sales cycle, including target identification, pipeline development, opportunity management, product demonstrations, proposal creation, and commercial negotiations.
- Establish and nurture new business relationships with leading global wealth managers and fund sponsors.
- Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Solutions team to identify and capitalize on additional Digital Solutions opportunities that complement existing clients' portfolios.
- Formulate strategies to generate new revenue streams by expanding iCapital's target client demographics, geographic reach, and use cases within the fund sponsor landscape.
- Bachelor's Degree with over 10 years of experience in fintech sales and/or alternative investments.
- Preferred experience working with wealth management, wealthtech, or fintech firms.
- Extensive knowledge of alternative investments and structured products is highly desirable.
- Able to manage both fully operational and nascent opportunities in formative stages.
- Strong understanding and enthusiasm for innovative technology solutions, with the ability to articulate the value of partnering with iCapital.
- Quantitative background, with familiarity in factor-based risk analysis considered a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses are preferred.
The base salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $170,000. iCapital offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also benefit from a robust benefits package, including an employer-matched retirement plan, subsidized healthcare with 100% employer-paid dental and vision coverage, telemedicine services, virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
We believe that collaboration fosters the best ideas and innovation. Employees in this role will work in the office four days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely one day. Each department has unique needs, and some positions may be designated as in-office roles based on their functions.
