Job Title: Vice President of Global Partnerships and Strategy

News Corp is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Corporate Strategy Team as a Vice President of Global Partnerships and Strategy. This role will play a critical part in supporting the development and growth of current key global partnerships, as well as identifying and growing new platform partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Support the growth and development of platform relationships to build successful and sustainable partnerships.
  • Execute new platforms deals and renegotiate current deals to maximize global value.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on global initiatives, including the use of AI across our businesses and evaluating the role of audio in Gen Z's news consumption.
  • Conduct commercial analysis to support partnerships strategies and innovation, including assessing commercial and strategic benefits and business, financial, and other potential risks.
  • Provide insightful, timely research and evidence-based analysis across the market, customer, and competitive landscape.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations on current and new partnership opportunities, as well as quarterly board presentations.
  • Identify potential new partnership opportunities and early-stage media and technology companies that offer platforms/tools to accelerate our global ambitions.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 12-15 years of experience working in a strategy/business development role, preferably with a media focus, and at least five years prior work experience at a large Investment Bank or Consulting firm.
  • Proven experience evaluating industry trends, developing long-term recommendations, and strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, strong project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively, and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent research skills, including an understanding of how to identify and synthesize both internal and external sources of relevant data and information.
  • Expert skills in executive-level/board-quality presentation materials in PowerPoint with attention to detail.
  • Superior ability to articulate ideas to various audiences, including technical and non-technical audiences, senior leadership, and corporate and business unit working groups.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to do quantitative analyses.
  • Self-starter who believes no task is too big or small to take on.
  • Strong understanding of the rapidly changing media and consumer technology landscape.
  • Experience with strategy, business development, M&A, partnerships in media preferred.
  • Preference for Media and Technology industry experience and an interest in the industry.
  • Financial modeling, valuation, and budgeting experience preferred.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
