Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Tech Services Engineer will deliver a broad spectrum of aircraft systems, structures, maintenance program functions, and operational engineering to guarantee that the CRJ-700/900 platform operates safely, compliantly, and reliably for PSA's crews and customers in the foreseeable future.

Job Responsibilities
  • Investigates, analyzes, and seeks solutions to challenges related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair of aircraft and their components.
  • Develops intricate solutions and implementation strategies, project justifications, cost/benefit analyses, project management, technical support, and securing FAA approvals as necessary.
  • Defines maintenance programs, configurations, and serviceability criteria to ensure safe and compliant 121 operations, including reviewing and implementing applicable Service Bulletins (SBs) and FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD) for PSA's fleet.
  • Interprets complex and technical engineering and OEM documentation.
  • Assesses the cost impact of fleet decisions to ensure an optimal balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability.
  • Provides on-site technical engineering support as required for the successful operation of PSA Airlines.
  • Collaborates with all areas of the airline to achieve superior safety and reliability outcomes.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Technical Operations/Maintenance within a 121 Airline Operator.
  • Familiarity with Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design, and operational characteristics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects and implementing change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to address and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the US if hired.
Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not involve supervisory duties.

Delegation: In the absence of the incumbent, responsibilities will be delegated to the Director of Engineering & Technical Services.

Authorities: None.

Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office setting, routinely utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift weights up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
