Position Summary

The Aerospace Systems Engineer will engage in a variety of aircraft systems, structures, and maintenance programs, providing operational engineering support to ensure the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of our aircraft platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and resolve issues related to aircraft design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair.

- Develop intricate solutions and implementation strategies, including project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and management of project execution.

- Define maintenance programs and serviceability criteria to ensure safe operations, including reviewing and implementing relevant service bulletins and airworthiness directives.

- Interpret complex engineering and OEM documentation.

- Assess the cost implications of fleet decisions to achieve an optimal balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability.

- Provide on-site technical engineering support as necessary for effective operations.

- Collaborate with various departments to achieve superior safety and reliability outcomes.

- Uphold the company's Security and Safety Management System and associated safety risk management outputs.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Operations/Maintenance within a 121 Airline Operator.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes, airworthiness design criteria, and aircraft operational characteristics.
- Proven experience in project management and implementing change initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills for resolving complex issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for managing team dynamics and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Authorization to work in the US is required upon hiring.
Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
Delegation:
In the absence of the position holder, responsibilities will be delegated to the Director of Engineering & Technical Services.
Authorities:
None.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telecommunication devices.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While this is primarily a sedentary position, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, and use hands for handling or reaching.
