Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive reporting and analytical insights on operational expenditures and workforce metrics in relation to financial forecasts and budgets. This position is highly visible and will provide direct support to the Finance department and executive leadership. The role involves the development of budgets and forecasts, alongside enhancing processes, reporting, and reviews with senior finance and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and disseminate consistent monthly financial reports, collaborating with senior business and finance leaders to contextualize historical and projected business performance.
- Enhance financial reporting processes and identify opportunities for improvements that increase the accuracy and timeliness of our overall financial reporting.
- Facilitate the finance cadence for monthly reporting, rolling forecasts, and the annual budgeting/planning cycle in accordance with Corporate FP&A timelines.
- Engage and collaborate with key departmental leaders, HR and staffing partners, as well as cross-functional finance and operational teams.
- Analyze financial results to gauge performance against plans and forecasts. Identify trends that may indicate issues to address or opportunities to explore. Highlight business challenges and risks, driving necessary changes to optimize operations. Proactively anticipate inquiries and provide recommendations based on financial insights.
- Present analytical findings to management and the executive team for utilization by the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as required.
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Proven experience in managing operational expenses and budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas, complemented by strong visual storytelling skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort in presenting to and engaging with C-level executives.
- Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn and develop within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong collaborative skills across teams and functions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working with unstructured, disparate data.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a strategic mindset.
- Experience in the enterprise software industry or management consulting.
- Master's degree in Finance or Business.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Essbase, Smart View, OBIEE, APEX.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
