Position Overview: The Live Event Sound Technician, reporting directly to the Event AV Manager, is tasked with the setup and operation of audio-visual equipment for various events. This role collaborates closely with Event Marketing Management to deliver technical support for event audio-visual needs, while also managing inventory and ensuring equipment functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel as needed to set up and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment at live events.
  • Oversee daily operations of audio-visual equipment.
  • Manage and track AV asset inventory effectively.
  • Receive training on the application and practices of audio-visual equipment.
  • Handle repairs and maintenance of audio-visual gear.
  • Collaborate with Event Managers to develop on-site AV technical activation strategies.
  • Assist in the construction of tradeshow and activation setups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • Experience in audio-visual applications for events.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
    1. Analog/Digital Audio
    2. LED Wall Systems
    3. Video Systems
    4. Lighting Systems
    5. IT/Networking Equipment
  • Ability to obtain OSHA Forklift Certification.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (365) and inventory management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Professional appearance is required.
  • Candidate should reside within a reasonable distance to the operational base.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
