We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and collaborative HR leader who is committed to fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting a distinguished brand in the cycling industry. This position offers the chance to be part of a renowned organization recognized for its innovation in designing and manufacturing top-tier products that enhance the performance of both professional athletes and cycling enthusiasts. Based in Southern California, this role entails overseeing HR functions for two well-established companies with significant global brand presence. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will be instrumental in executing a comprehensive strategy focused on all aspects of the employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Head of Human Resources will oversee Talent Acquisition, Employee Retention & Engagement, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Relations, Safety & Compliance, and will serve as a strategic advisor to the Senior Management Team.

  1. Implement a Global HR Strategy while customizing programs to meet the diverse needs of local markets and departments.
  2. Promote accountability through goal-setting and establish open, respectful communication channels between management and staff.
  3. Engage effectively with employees by offering guidance and support while balancing employee advocacy with organizational goals.
  4. Address conflicts proactively, motivating others to excel and engaging in constructive conversations with a focus on positive outcomes.
  5. Function as both a leader and mentor, adeptly balancing hands-on execution with strategic planning.
  6. Exhibit a genuine interest in the well-being and development of employees, emphasizing continuous growth.
  7. Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with the Global Center of Excellence Teams in Talent Acquisition and Compensation & Benefits.
  8. Facilitate employee initiatives that promote a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in HR roles, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in HR systems is essential, with a strong preference for experience with Workday.
  • Exceptional consultation and coaching skills for both staff and management.
  • Strong communication abilities with a talent for influencing others.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to align business needs with impactful employee initiatives.
  • Proven track record as an effective contributor to the Senior Management Team, providing leadership and direction.
  • Capability to conduct training and manage critical projects in an engaging manner.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust, demonstrating approachability and active listening.
  • Strong capacity to project confidence and humility as appropriate.
  • Familiarity with all relevant Federal, State (California Wage & Hour), and local employment laws.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in reading, understanding, and explaining documents in English. Capable of effective verbal and written communication in English.

SALARY RANGE: The compensation package will be determined based on experience, qualifications, industry background, and the interview process, with a potential range of up to $130,000 - $160,000.
