Position Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in supporting the HR Department with Employee Relations and various HR initiatives. This position is integral in gathering information regarding employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, conducting exit interviews, assisting with investigations, and collaborating with management on Employee Relations matters.

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.

Certifications:

  • PHR Certification is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, particularly in Employment Relations.
  • Experience in direct employee relations and investigations is essential.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage a client group of approximately ~ employees.
  • This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of one day in the office and rotating Fridays on-site.
  • Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Support and training will be provided by the current HRBP during the initial months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with employees and management to deliver exceptional HR support and service.
  • Stay updated on changes in State, Federal, and Local employment laws, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct intake meetings with employees and managers to gather information on workplace conduct, performance issues, and other concerns.
  • Assist in investigations related to employment issues, including harassment and discrimination, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Follow up on Employee Relations complaints as directed by HR leadership.
  • Provide updates to management and employees regarding the status of issues and recommendations for action.
  • Offer guidance on HR policies and state and federal laws to employees and management.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators regarding unemployment claims and represent the organization at hearings as necessary.
  • Participate in the implementation of the organization’s drug-free workplace policy.
  • Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and discuss trends with HR leadership.
  • Assist with the processing of terminations and the execution of organizational programs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging in professional networks.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports.
  • Proficiency in HR theory and applications, with strong data management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Knowledge of employment law and the ability to consult with all levels of management and employees.
  • Experience in conducting investigations related to HR policy violations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and regulations to support efficient HR processes.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and compliance in managing employee records.
