Role Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in aiding the Human Resources Department with Employee Relations and various HR initiatives. The HRBP will assist HR Management in gathering information on complaints, facilitating conflict resolution, conducting exit interviews, aiding in investigations, and providing follow-up on Employee Relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with employees and management to deliver exceptional HR support and service.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws at the state, federal, and local levels, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Conduct intake meetings with employees and managers to gather information on workplace concerns, performance issues, and other complaints.
- Assist in investigations related to employee relations issues, including harassment and discrimination, and document findings and recommendations.
- Provide updates to management and employees regarding the status of ongoing issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Offer guidance on HR policies and compliance with employment laws.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators on unemployment claims and represent the organization at hearings as needed.
- Participate in the implementation of the organization's drug-free workplace policy.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and report findings to the HR Director.
- Support the termination process and assist in executing organizational programs and initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging in professional networks.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
- PHR Certification is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on Employee Relations.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to produce reports.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices; proficient in data management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple critical assignments simultaneously.
- Knowledge of employment law and the ability to consult with management and employees on HR matters.
- Experience in handling complaints and conducting investigations.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Dayforce HRIS, to support efficient HR processes.
- Ensure the confidentiality and safekeeping of employee records in compliance with applicable laws.
