Overview:

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:


Extensive high-level analytical and operational experience in executing program/project implementations, which may encompass: scheduling, cost estimation, constructability assessments, dispute resolution, claims analysis, or commissioning activities.

Proven track record of progressive career advancement and demonstrated proficiency in construction management, project oversight, engineering design, or related disciplines. Skilled in supervising mid-sized teams.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES:
Engagement in project assignments including on-site client representation, project documentation, estimating, scheduling, plan evaluation, quality assurance, and record research. Capable of leading initiatives on mid- to large-scale projects. Frequently initiating client interactions and often serving as a primary liaison with clients. Working within project financial parameters and providing leadership on project teams.

Fostering positive and productive working relationships with peer leaders, superiors, and subordinates.

Participating in the recruitment and selection of candidates to fill vacancies and enhance workforce capabilities.


Mentoring and facilitating the transfer of technical knowledge to staff, including the sharing of expertise from senior personnel to those with less experience.

Directing and coordinating the work of assigned technical and administrative personnel.

Monitoring progress and quality of work produced by others assigned to him/her. Informing the Project Manager/Construction Manager regarding the performance of assigned staff.

Analyzing and optimizing both internal and external processes.

Conducting site inspections, identifying potential engineering challenges, proposing solutions and alternatives, and providing recommendations to the Project Manager/Construction Manager.

Offering subject matter technical engineering expertise and support while reviewing the technical work of others.

Adjusting workload in response to changes and striving to meet deadlines.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:


Engaging in business development, participating in marketing initiatives, actively contributing to company projects, and managing small to mid-sized projects.

May prepare, monitor, and manage client project budgets. May provide training to less experienced personnel.

Attending and participating in professional association meetings; staying informed about new trends and innovations in the field of civil engineering.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Advanced degree.

Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Other specific certifications such as CCM, CCE, PSP, CxA, CCP, CEM.


Understanding of engineering principles, construction management, and project controls, with specialized knowledge in areas including scheduling, cost estimation, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.

Solid comprehension of all services offered by the company.

Basic data processing principles related to engineering problem-solving.

Engineering mathematics and statistical analysis techniques.

Construction methods and practices.

Familiarity with state and federal regulations, construction codes, and safety practices relevant to the work.

Fundamental project management and supervisory principles.

Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within three months of hire.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency with the company's diverse services. Capable of managing multiple assignments. Operating at an expert level in one or more service areas with final work products.


An understanding of technical terminology and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear and concise reports.

Crisis management and problem resolution skills.

Ability to analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, assess the consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of objectives.


Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office programs, CADD, BIM Platforms (such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk 360), graphics, scheduling (Primavera Project Planner or Suretrak Project Manager), and cost estimating (RS Means CostWorks).

Ability to analyze and optimize internal and external processes.

Skilled in preparing clear, concise, and accurate reports and presentations.

Applying engineering principles and techniques to solve engineering challenges.


Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals encountered during work and effectively represent the Owner/Client.


Ability to understand and interpret engineering construction plans, specifications, contract documents, complex technical and legal documents, maps, and technical drawings.

Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds (occasionally) and 20 pounds (frequently).


Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.

GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Receives overall guidance on emphasis and approach from the Construction Manager or Project Manager.

Generally able to work independently and determine solutions.

Provides training to less experienced personnel.

Manages the profitability of projects and their forecasted budgets.

Oversees the utilization of team member subordinates.

SUPERVISORY:
Capable of supervising individuals and teams.
