Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a unique blend of business acumen, leadership skills, and community engagement. As an Operations Manager at Walmart, you will be responsible for driving the financial performance of the facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing supervision and development opportunities for associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and profit goals by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by holding hourly associates accountable, analyzing and interpreting reports, and implementing related action plans.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and actively listening to associates, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing recognition.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Assist the store manager in driving the financial performance of the facility by ensuring that sales and profit goals are achieved, reviewing and evaluating P&L (Profit & Loss) statements, and assisting the management team in controlling expenses to ensure they are indexed to sales.
Requirements
  • 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Benefits

Walmart offers a competitive salary range of $65,000.00-$80,000.00, as well as additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Sales Volume Category (SVC), and Complex Structure.

Associates will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount received depends on job classification and length of employment.

Walmart also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits include PTO (including sick leave), parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting.

Walmart offers a paid education benefit program, Live Better U, for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
