Hyde Park Hospitality, LLC (HPH) collaborates with Airport Dimensions and Sodexo to deliver exceptional food service at The Club, situated within the Charleston International Airport. Our team brings extensive experience and dedication to every aspect of food service and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

The Club offers a vibrant and fast-paced environment, perfect for those who thrive in dynamic settings. We are currently seeking Full-Time Culinary Preparation Specialists. Weekend availability is essential. Shifts may vary based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The following outlines the primary duties associated with the Culinary Preparation Specialist role. This list is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as needed:

  • Prepare and portion food items, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health standards.
  • Follow specific instructions to prepare a variety of dishes as per customer requests.
  • Arrange food attractively on serving platters and trays.
  • Handle and prepare meats and poultry for cooking.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
  • Transport food supplies and equipment between storage and preparation areas.
  • Store food properly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
  • Restock buffet areas as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of food supplies and equipment.
  • Label and date prepared food items.
  • Complete food safety documentation.
  • Wash dishes and maintain a tidy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a security background check.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or food service is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age, as required by law.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications, including food handler certification.
  • Stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Manage the demands of a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations.
  • Present information clearly in both individual and group settings.
  • Perform basic arithmetic for cash transactions.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 120 pounds with assistance.
  • Exhibit professional appearance and conduct.
  • Report to work consistently and punctually.
