**Ideal Candidate Profile**
We are looking for a dedicated Culinary Operations Supervisor who will work closely with the Chef De Cuisine. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise and leadership skills, ensuring that our kitchen operations align with our values and standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food preparation while effectively managing the kitchen team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service for both dining and event functions.
- Ensure all kitchen stations are adequately stocked and prepared for service.
- Assist the Chef De Cuisine with kitchen organization, inventory management, and supply ordering.
- Support the training and development of kitchen staff.
- Implement standardized recipes while monitoring quality and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Chef De Cuisine on menu development and special offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper usage of kitchen equipment and food products.
- Keep accurate logs and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
**Supervisory Duties**
- Manage back-of-house personnel, including kitchen managers, sous chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers.
**Qualifications**
Education and Experience:
- Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sous chef role, with a preference for candidates with management experience.
- ServSafe Managers Certification is required or must be obtained shortly after hiring.
- Familiarity with industry best practices is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently while leading a team positively.
- Proficient in English to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety regulations.
**Work Environment**
Equipment Used:
- Standard kitchen appliances including gas ranges, grills, fryers, and food processors.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and property-specific technology is beneficial.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Regular attendance is essential, with flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
