Position Summary:

The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing meals in alignment with our culinary standards and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute daily preparation tasks and food production.
  2. Ensure food is prepared according to established portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  3. Properly handle, store, and rotate all food products.
  4. Adhere to proper plating and garnishing techniques for all menu items.
  5. Contribute to the creation and development of new menu offerings.
  6. Maintain a clean kitchen environment that complies with health regulations.
  7. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  8. Keep kitchen stations stocked to facilitate efficient service.
  9. Assist with inventory management and receiving stock deliveries.
  10. Follow closing procedures and ensure all kitchen stations are properly shut down.
  11. Comply with the club's dress code.
  12. Participate in all staff meetings and training sessions.
  13. Demonstrate commitment to excellence in service and collaboration with club staff and members.
  14. Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
  15. Maintain regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  2. Effective verbal communication skills.
  3. Basic culinary knowledge and skills.
  4. Understanding of safe food handling practices.

Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  2. Prior experience in food preparation and cooking is advantageous.
  3. Certification in Food Handling is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual and auditory capabilities for reading, communicating, and operating equipment.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Manual dexterity for using kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing over 25 pounds.
