At Goldmark, we are dedicated to enhancing the living experience for our residents. We are seeking a Financial Operations Leader to spearhead our accounting department and cultivate a high-performing financial team.

The Financial Operations Leader will be instrumental in providing guidance and support to team members, overseeing intricate projects, and refining our internal accounting methodologies.

This position is pivotal in realizing our vision of fostering a superior living environment for our clients and communities at the property level.

Our ideal candidate will champion customer service and quality, ensuring that our residents feel valued and at home.

The Financial Operations Leader will take pride in delivering exceptional service to our residents, client-owners, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a resource for field staff regarding complex resident inquiries and issues.
- Collaborate with Accounting Directors to develop and execute effective annual property budgeting strategies.
- Undertake advanced accounting tasks that require specialized knowledge and expertise.
- Exhibit a robust understanding of financial statements and budget management.
- Apply accounting principles effectively, including cash flow management and accrual accounting practices.

- Recruit, mentor, and lead team members to achieve their highest potential while focusing on transforming the lives of those we serve.

- Conduct final reviews of property financials prior to submission to client-owners.
- Investigate and resolve financial reporting discrepancies to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Ensure timely completion of financial reporting.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A four-year degree in accounting is required; CPA designation is highly preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting capacity within a CPA firm or multi-division accounting department is essential.
- Prior experience in leadership and team management is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations regarding multi-family housing and team member safety is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- A self-motivated, organized individual who can inspire and guide others.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
