About the Role:

This is a hands-on Financial Controller position that will work from the Fargo, ND location of Eide Bailly LLP, a leading accounting and business consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a proven track record of success in managing month-end and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements and communicating financial position to leadership and others.
  • Oversee all intercompany transactions and work with external service providers for accounting and business activities.
  • Provide direction and manage the accounting team and remote store controllers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA licensure.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with hands-on experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements within 5 days of closing (month end).
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain financial data to owners, managers, and external CPAs and other business professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the automobile industry or other business with multiple locations is essential.
