Position Overview

The PM&OE Team is tasked with delivering intricate, mission-critical projects and transformative initiatives that span various locations and functions, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses the formulation, planning, and execution of significant change initiatives on a global scale, primarily focused on the US and EMEA regions. A major aspect of this position involves leading and supporting new laboratory construction and setup projects. Additionally, collaboration with other Program and Project Managers is essential to develop best practices for project execution.

  • Collaborate with PM&OE Team members to enhance internal processes and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Understand organizational drivers behind strategic programs and work with stakeholders to create programs that align with these goals.
  • Adapt plans as necessary to meet evolving project needs.
  • Act as Project Manager for critical tasks requiring advanced expertise.
  • Create program plans, budgets, and risk registers while identifying interdependencies within and outside the program.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve conflicting organizational priorities and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Secure necessary resources for each program in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Foster program buy-in across all impacted departments.
  • Establish and refine governance processes to ensure ongoing relevance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Communicate strategies and objectives clearly across relevant departments, bridging functional gaps.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach Project and Senior Project Managers to promote staff development and knowledge retention.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Formal qualifications in project or program management (practitioner level) with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in construction and engineering projects, particularly in new site developments and capability transfers.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skill in simplifying complex technical issues and tailoring messages for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, fostering collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to influence others positively without direct authority.
  • Capacity to challenge conventional thinking constructively and guide teams through change.
  • Proficient in analytical processes and independent judgment to devise innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional project teams.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and organizational frameworks, including goals, strategy, culture, and structure.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Matrix management experience with Project and Senior Project Managers.
  • Proficient in IT systems, database technologies, and productivity tools.
