ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of the Salon Sales Channel is tasked with overseeing, developing, and recruiting a direct sales team dedicated to serving professional beauty salons and educational institutions across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This team is responsible for marketing the complete professional brand portfolio, including Wella Professionals, Nioxin, Sebastian, Clairol Professional, Color Charm, OPI, and GHD. The position necessitates extensive customer interaction, effective people management, and regional travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performance Metrics: Accountable for establishing individual targets that align with leadership objectives to ensure the team meets or surpasses business and sales goals.
  • Team Leadership: Assess the skills and motivation of team members, customizing management strategies to create actionable plans for each individual.
  • People Development: Foster mastery in employee development by implementing established protocols and standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain team focus on priorities, monitor KPIs, and lead area sales meetings.
  • Results Delivery: Achieve outcomes through high-performance organization execution and capability building.
  • Strategic Relationships: Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and industry influencers, including major salon accounts and educational institutions.
  • Industry Representation: Actively participate in industry associations and represent Wella Operations US LLC at professional forums, events, and meetings.
  • Data Management: Leverage data analytics to drive territory development and customer engagement, utilizing business reports and digital tools to identify trends and formulate strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales, with 3-5 years in sales team management
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a focus on deliverables and KPIs
  • Results-driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50%, including potential overnight stays
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience in the beauty industry
