The Senior Manager of the Salon Channel will oversee, develop, and recruit a direct sales team dedicated to serving professional beauty salons and educational institutions across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

This team is responsible for marketing the complete professional brand portfolio, including Wella Professionals, Nioxin, Sebastian, Clairol Professional, Color Charm, OPI, and GHD.

The role entails significant customer interaction, personnel management, including 9 direct reports, and regional travel.

The area manager will be tasked with achieving business objectives within a specified budget while also seeking new opportunities.

Collaboration with the education team is essential to maximize the market's educational potential, ensuring that customer strategies are developed and executed effectively.

Strong situational management skills and commitment to company values are crucial for fostering a high-performing organization that continuously enhances its capabilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve KPIs:
Responsible for establishing individual targets that align with leadership goals to ensure the team meets or exceeds business and sales objectives.

Team Leadership:

Assess the skills and motivation of team members, tailoring management strategies to create personalized action plans for each individual.

Foster expertise in personnel development and implement established protocols and standards.

Excellence in Operations:

Maintain team focus on priorities, monitor KPIs, prioritize co-riding and completion of coaching sessions, and lead area sales meetings.

Deliver results through high-performance execution and capability building.

Strategic Industry Engagement:
Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and industry influencers (e.g., Key Salon Accounts, Guest Artists, Educational Institutions, etc.).
Actively participate in industry associations and represent Wella Operations in professional forums, both in-person and digitally through events, shows, and meetings.

Data and Reporting Management:

Developing the territory, team, and client relationships necessitates proficiency in data analytics, utilizing business reports and digital tools to identify trends, establish standards of excellence, forecast strategies, and create productivity action plans.

Customization of reports, presentations, and proposals is essential for aligning with both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience in outside sales, with 3-5 years in sales team management
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, initiative, and follow-through
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a clear focus on deliverables and KPIs
Results-driven
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Willingness to travel up to 40-50% overnight, including weekends
Valid Driver's License
Experience in the Beauty Industry
We provide a transparent compensation range for positions in accordance with local regulations.

Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance.

The listed range is one aspect of Wella Operations' comprehensive rewards package for employees.

Pay Range:
K salary per year. Additional rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
