Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the company's overall business strategy, identifying growth opportunities and areas of innovation aligned with Simcere's vision.
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities across oncology, CNS, or autoimmune therapeutic areas, and assets, including out-licensing/in-licensing opportunities.
  • Support the drafting and negotiating of transaction term sheets, utilizing creative deal structures and processes that result in business success and maximum value.
  • Actively manage alliances and ensure their highest chance of success, negotiation, and structuring of licensing agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expansion.
Requirements:
  • MD and/or Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields, with 6+ years of experience in business development.
  • Scientific or clinical expertise in oncology, CNS, autoimmune, or related fields, including the drug development and commercialization process.
  • Experience in alliance management and negotiation of licensing agreements.
  • Ability to think critically, creatively, and to anticipate and solve problems.
