Job Description
Senior Director, Software Engineering Ultrasound is responsible for formulating a long-term vision for the Software Engineering group within the Ultrasound business and managing the overall capabilities of the department to ensure that business objectives can be met as it pertains to Software engineering, technology and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Defines the software development strategy and vision, often influencing engineering across all R&D disciplines.
- Member of the R&D Leadership Team determines in consultation with the Leadership Team, the Global Software team's objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place.
- Is responsible for End-to-End design, development, delivery and maintenance of software development.
- Senior people leader with direct responsibility for development and growth of their teams, is a champion of the Philips Culture and is expected to drive change across the organization.
- Acts as the enabler for the teams, has the responsibility for adoption, success and ongoing improvement of agile development and software development practices.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience of relevant (Leadership + Technical) experience, including minimum five (5) or more years' experience in software development within the health technology industry.
- Minimum 5+ years managing large globally distributed teams (200+ FTEs) up to and including director level reports, with direct line management and budget accountability
- You have a bachelor's degree in software engineering.

Compensation
The pay range for this position in (MA) is $198,000 to $366,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
