Job Description

Kytopen is a pioneering company streamlining cell engineering for next-generation cell therapies. Our goal is to expand access to powerful living medicines. We use our patent-pending Flowfect non-viral transfection platform to enable transformative therapies. As a Senior Director of Business Development, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth strategy within the cell therapy space. Your responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's market presence globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-design and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy aligned with company goals in the cell therapy and other life science sectors.
  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align business development strategies that support Kytopen's Flowfect non-viral transfection platform.
  • Establish long-term agreements with global customers, contract development manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and engage with potential licensing, acquisition, and collaboration opportunities to accelerate business growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in scientific sales and/or key account management.
  • Continuous learning mindset and ability to remain current on Kytopen solutions and industry trends across different transfection applications.
  • Ability to travel when needed – about 75% of the time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a diverse workforce and be part of a positive and motivational work environment.
