Job Summary

The Grant Program Manager provides critical support for the Transdisciplinary Research Institute for Inflammaging and Brain Aging faculty, facilitating the pre- and post-award activities for grants. This position serves as the primary contact for faculty across multiple disciplines, coordinating collaboration and grant submissions, publications, and all research-related needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provides expertise in grant writing and securing funding, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements, university policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates the grant process from development to submission, communicating with central offices and assisting with IRB and IBC submissions as needed.
  • Assists with preparation of grant routing forms, budget amendments, and other necessary documents.
  • Manages application processes for large institutional grant applications, working with stakeholders to prepare biographical sketches, budget justifications, and other required materials.
  • Provides financial analysis and forecasting, devising financial reporting tools and reviewing documentation related to cost transfers and budget revisions.
  • Coordinates invoicing, accounts receivable, and deposits in the financial system to ensure accurate payments.
  • Assists with Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPR), applying for no-cost extensions, and closeout-related items.
  • Supports Colleges/Schools and departments in TRIBA Cluster Hire faculty recruitment, ensuring ePars are accurate and overseeing startup funds.
  • Tracks metrics for TRIBA, including submissions to and awards from federal sponsors, publications, and commercial licenses and disclosures.
Requirements

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university combined with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare management and budget management capacity, or a master's degree with a minimum of three years of experience. Experience in grant writing and securing funding is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience submitting NIH grant applications is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. Strong research presentation, annual report, and documentation preparation skills are required, as well as the ability to handle a high-volume throughput in a timely manner.
